OUR CITY– don’t miss this event!

“Be looking out for our newest, most explosive event this year! Incorporating Production and Experience events into one, we have created an event “Our City” on Thurs, March 15.

Asked to be done by Southeastern University’s Admissions department, this event is nothing like we’ve ever done before.

The event starts at 8 p.m. and will keep you wanting more……Did I mention that we are hosting and revamping Mr. SEU during this event?!

That’s right, we’ve done it. Five upperclassmen contestants will compete that night to be crowned Mr.SEU…….so don’t miss it! It’s going to be legit.

See you there…..Thursday, March 15 at 8 p.m.” –Jillian Reid

Homecoming in review

As you all know, HOMECOMING was this weekend and can I just say it was a weekend for the books. The week started Monday with an awesome Pre-Funk party for Conference and ended with a memorable slam-dunk at the Homecoming basketball game! DSF, SBLC,  ResLife, Advancement, Admissions and many other departments contributed to this AWESOME week. If you missed any of it here are some pictures of the events that went on during the week:

Homecoming Bonfire

Yes, it is that time of year again – Homecoming! This year, the Fire Frenzy homecoming is featuring several events, however, one of the most exciting is the Bonfire!

This years’ bonfire is going to be completely different than all other SEU bonfires – why you ask?  Because the Red Bull truck will be there with a LIVE DJ! – and free Red Bull of course.

In addition, there will be a Car Bash.  So if you have some bottled up anger, or just TONS of school spirit, come participate and bash some glass!

There will be food, cheerleaders, and what else but s’mores?!?!

You DEFINITELY don’t want to miss out on this!!

So show some school spirit, wear school colors, and go CRAZY!  Out in the Gordon Lot (behind Spence)  @ 9pm and show us what you got!

Welcome Emily!

We were sad to announce that Senate’s Student Liaison Coordinator, Gospel Kim, was leaving, but we are very happy to announce our new addition to that spot and to our team!

Miss Emily Burm has just been hired to the Senate team and we could not be more pleased!

So if you see her around on campus or at Senate on Monday, give her a little “Congrats”!

Through My Eyes

For all those here at Southeastern, the best opportunity to get involved is here! STUDENT DEVELOPMENT!

My freshman year I signed up to be an intern in the Student Body Leadership Council and it was amazing! In fact, I did it the entire year and signed up last year to be a marketer and I got it! That is my job right now here on campus, and I’m applying this year as well.

Opportunities such as:

  • RESIDENT LIFE
  • WORSHIP DEPT
  • STUDENT BODY LEADERSHIP COUNCIL
  • FIRST YEAR EXPERIENCE
  • COMMUTER LIFE
  • DESTINATIONs

Seriously, get on that! It will change your life!

Pick up an application upstairs in Pansler in the Student Development suite and return it by JANUARY 31 in PANSLER ROOM 232!

GOOOO FFFIIIIRRRREEEEE!!!!

Club Rush

It’s a new semester.  Preview Days is next week.  So what does that mean?  It’s time for another Club Rush!

Senate will be hosting the Club Rush event on Friday, February 3 from 10-2 on El Prado

This Club Rush is to show new spring students and preview students what our university has to offer.  This is a time to showcase what clubs and organizations we have and to find out how to get involved and grow as a student body.

So what should you expect at this particular Club Rush?  Well, for one, it is Homecoming Week, so El Prado will be all decked out in fire colors and students will be reppin’ the “Fire Attire” to excited for that nights activities.

Also we have vendors such as:

  • Local Churches
  • Local Restaurants (I heard a rumor that Moe’s is bringing chips and salsa!)
  • SEU Clubs and Organizations
  • Live Music
  • Food (Don’t worry Daniel’s Fast participators, we didn’t forget about you!)
